The first time I heard Rage was at Lalapalooza. The year was 1993 and they had yet to break out as the band we all know now. That Lalapalooza tour was to become Rage’s coming out party.
The lineup was pretty amazing. I don’t recall the performance order but some of the bands on the bill were Tool, Arrested Development, Fishbone, Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr., & Primus. What I do remember was just how two bands stood out. Those bands were Tool and Rage. The rest history.
